It was brought to our attention at the last competition - Sunday 7th February that there had been some money going missing whilst at the competition.
We are letting you know as a warning to watch out for your belongings while at our competitions.
Fingers crossed this was a "one off" and someone just chanced walking into the centre and fell lucky as we all feel that it would be very unlikely someone from the competition.
Please be vigilant.

Using holistic therapy and massage treat your horse to a personalised therapy session.
Through the evening you will be able to pick up techniques to use yourself to be able to communicate with your horse to enhance their well been and performance.
Image:
You horse does not have to be the only one to benefit from the evening!!
Using Reiki and variations of this method to connect with your horse and feel first hand the results that you both will be able to benefit from for the future.
Equine Reiki has been proven useful in the treatment of injuries such as bad backs, wounds, head shaking, behavioural problems, and problems associated with past trauma, etc. Horses can suffer many different forms of stress, which can cause imbalances in various ways. These imbalances can produce sudden out of character habits; rearing, napping or bucking for example. Reiki helps the body to heal itself, re balancing the areas where it is needed most, it can also be used to relax the horse both physically and mentally.
Horses love Reiki, and absorb energy very quickly. They often go into a deep state of relaxation during a healing and are very good at telling you when they have had enough! Reiki can also be given over the stable door, for horses that are very nervous or difficult to handle.
Image:
Each session begins by asking your horse permission to heal and connect. Once permission is granted and there is connection then the "healer" will place their hands in various positions over the body, these positions are the seven main Chakras. Connection is maintained with each Chakra for long as is needed for each healing. Some horses instinctively know where they need the healing and will position themselves so that the hands are on that point. The healer then scans the body for any signs of heat or cold and then if needed continue to heal at other points. Finally and the most important part is to seal the aura and thank the horse.
Also available is the use of the Equisagge for personal one to one sessions or yard visits.
Image:
The Equisagge is a valuable part of the relaxation process but also helps towards many ailments and injuries such as Arthritis, Cold back, Cushings Disease, Head Shaking, Laminitus,Ringbone, Strangles, Sweet Itch, Warts, Windgalls.

Its unfortunate to have to cancel this weekends events - the clinic on Saturday and the Competition on Sunday but it makes sense as its not worth risking taking the horses out in the weather conditions we have. Even if all is fine at the weekend, (which with my luck it probably will be!) lots of horses have not been ridden successfully since before Christmas so in the safety of everyone cancelling the events is sensible.
Apologies for this.
At the moment there are some places left on David's Clinic. Click on the link on the left to view details.
With such demand on this evening we are looking to re locate to a venue very close to the planned event venue and I will email you the details of the new venue once it has been finalised. It wont be more than 5 mins from the planned venue.
Email your interest to cedressage@googlemail.com.
Click on the lessons and training link on the left.
Having cancelled the Festive ride between Christmas and New Year due to the snow we will try to go again! Fingers crossed all the snow will have gone by then and normal service should resume!!
All riders £10, leaving at 10:30am sharp. Refreshments free on return.

While the not so very horse friendly weather is upon us I would like to take this opportunity to ask you to look at this link -
This site gives you a link to having yourself a well trained dog!
There are promotional offers for January and all there work is affordable to be able to offer their expertise to everyone.

to discuss your requirements - please mention CE Dressage when you email.

I am sure you will all understand our decision to cancel the ride. Even if there is some sort of miracle thaw we understand that very few people will have been able to ride their horses therefore making it a little unsafe for the horses to go out in a group if a little fresh.
All I am in a position to do now is apologise for the inconvenience and hope to give you a re scheduled date as soon as we have finalised one.
Hope to see you all on that date.

We had a great party night for our third year, Awards for the Points League and the Rugs for the Championships were given to the lucky riders.
The Achievement Award was given to, along with a rug donated by David Lannon, a very embarrassed Sally Hughes.
Sally has been a member of CE Dressage from the first month we "opened" and has over the three years gone from strength to strength. CE is not solely responsible for Sally's success, she has been quietly breeding horses for a few good year now and in her words "you have to make do with what you breed"- making do with her horses has seen Sally having horses compete at Chatsworth Horse Trials and Champions in Working Hunter Classes also many horses Sally has bred have been part of the Mounted Police Service.
Recently she can be remembered for having dressed up as "the pyjama party" at 2008 Christmas show which was probably her most embarrassing moment until the party!!!
Of late there has been great interest and success in the dressage arena with home bred Brian's Life, who has qualified for two regional championships - providing she remembers the rules everything will be fine.
Well done to Sally and all the other riders !

Well Done everyone.
A bit of a catch up on whats been going on with me and a few pictures too!
There has been lots happening recently but does feel like a while ago that I competed Sam and two other horses at Yorkshire Dressage.
I rode Anniversary II owned by Jocelyn Studdart in the prelim tests and she had got much braver in the arenas and gave some nice work to be placed.
Ellens Hobo, owned by Tracey Hepworth was also placed in the Prelim test.
Sam was 2nd and 4th in the Elementary and Elementary Music, he may have been higher if I had taken the Elementary music and not the Novice music on the day!!!
Image:
Image:
Image:
For Sams next outing he went to Crow Wood in Lancashire. Sam won the Elementary qualifier with 67.29% getting part qualification for the Winter Regionals and also a mention in the Horse and Hound.
Image:
After getting part qualified Sam was take to Arkenfield where he was 2nd with less than 1% separating the winner and him which I was kicking myself about.
The day after Stormhill Mink went to Willerby coming 5th and 6th at Novice.
Soon after Sam went to the Home International to compete on the Northern and England Team. He was 8th in Elementary from 32 starters.

It was wet and wild at Davids last clinic. Again I am letting the side down and not taking photographs like I promised so you will just have to take my word for it that all the horses went really well. A couple of new faces too and also the regulars of Sally and Jocelyn and now Helen seems to have joined the group!
Next clinic date to be arranged.

ME !!!
I have been out and about competing a bit and have had various success.
Sam part qualified for the Elementary Winters at Crow Wood last Wednesday with 67.26%. Sam is getting ready now for the Home International in Scotland in three weeks time, his getting ready has seen a sudden growth of the winter coat, I am sure he knows something I dont!!!
Ellen's Hobo, owned by Tracey Hepworth, won at Manor Grange where he qualified for the Championships there this weekend. He was 4th in the Novice at Arkefield and placed at Yorkshire Dressage in the Prelim.
Anniversary II, owned by Jocelyn Studdart, was placed in the Prelim at Yorkshire Dressage and improved on her way of going from her first visit there.
Sally Hughes and Brians Life certainly need a mention as Sally scored the highest two scores of the day at Yorkshire Dressage but got the biggest shock when she got a call from Horse and Hound - be sure to buy it on Thursday !!!!
Stormhill Mink who I also compete has been to the CHAPS Championships at Arena UK and won it all!!!! He was Reserve Supreme In hand and Ridden and won the best stallion (I think!) - please correct me if I am wrong Becky !!
Storm will be back out doing dressage soon.
FINALLY ...
as usual we are keen on your feedback - please feel free to get in touch with me.
See you soon.
JO
Hi - Just another quick update on whats going on.
After the last competition was cancelled I spoke to Middleton Park to discuss going ahead with competitions with entries that do not require full days hire, with this we are really pleased to say that we hope not to cancel any more competitions as we are able to go ahead with the entries that are forward.
We are really pleased with this news.
The competition on the 27th has got some slight changes to the schedule -
ENTRIES CLOSE - MONDAY PRIOR TO THE COMPETITION
NOT ALL CLASSES HAVE JUNIOR SECTIONS.
SUNDAY 20TH SEPTEMBER
TRIP TO NATIONALS
Those of you going to the Nationals on Sunday we are leaving at 8am from Birch Laithes Farm, Bretton Lane, Bretton, Wakefield, WF4 3LF. Your cars to be parked in the yard by the arena as they will be more secure there.
The bus will leave at 8am prompt.
Please try to arrive at least 15mins prior to leaving - anyone not arrived by 8am will be walking there!!!!!!
DAVID LANNON CLINIC
David's next clinic has been changed to Sat 3rd October.
Hello Everyone
It is with great regret that the second competition in succession has had to be cancelled on the lack of entries.
We do not cancel competitions lightly, I personally enjoy and look forward to running the competitions for everyone and would not be doing this if the competitions were able to support themselves. I am in the process of discussing options with Middleton Park to run competitions when the entries do not support the centres full days use. I will keep you informed.
Thank you so much to the riders who keep sending their entries and supporting us - it is terrible that I keep having to return your entries.
All riders who have sent me cheques for competitions that have been cancelled will be torn up and we can then start with a clean slate for the future competitions.
Apologies again.
Hi All -
A quick update of all thats been going on with CE Dressage over the last few weeks.
31st July
Theory evening at Mums house was well supported and taken by David Lannon. Looking at various tests from Preliminary to Elementary everyone had the chance to discuss what was going on and learn various things to improve their own horses.
1st August
August began with David Lannons Clinic. 12 riders were braving the weather for their sessions on their horses under Davids instruction. The weather was that terrible there were no pictures but I wont be slacking at the next one and everyone will be caught on camera!!
If you rode on the clinic on 1st Aug I would be grateful if you could email me your feedback to enter onto Davids clinic page.
NEXT CLINIC WITH DAVID LANNON - SAT 29TH AUGUST - WAITING LIST ONLY
