Rules

it is required for all Unaffiliated/Affiliated Dressage Competitions that riders are aware and understand the rules.

In addition to BRITISH DRESSAGE RULES the following apply.

Health and Safety / Terms and Conditions / Rules 2009

No responsibility will be accepted by the organisers or land owners for anything which may happen to competitor, onlookers or their property, servants or horses in connection with or arising from these events. It shall be considered a condition of entry that each entrant agrees to indemnify the promoters against any legal action arising there from.

Everything reasonably practicable has been done to ensure that health, safety and welfare of those who attend the show. Members of the public and competitors are equally responsible for ensuring that they do not put themselves or other persons at risk and that they co - operate with the organisers in compliance with Health and Safety Legislation.

HORSES CAN BE DANGEROUS!
Horses can be dangerous and can be easily frightened. Members of the public are requested to keep clear from horses/ lanes and to avoid behaviour which may frighten horses. Children must be supervised by parent/ guardian at all times.

Riders under 18 years old MUST were hard hats to either PAS015, ASTM 1163 or EN1384 or above. Adult riders see rule 43 British Dressage 2009 rule.

DOGS ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THE SHOW CENTRE AT ANY TIME

GATES ON ENTRY / EXIT OF THE CENTRE - the gate to the centre must be closed immediately after entry and exit.

COLLECTING ARENA - the collecting ring gate must be closed on entry and exit. The maximum number of competitors in the arena at one time is at the organisers discretion on the day. No children under 16 years old - unless riding. No trainers or spectators are allowed within the collecting arena. Alterations to tack etc must be made outside the arena.

PARKING AREA - please could riders be aware that there are equipment available for you to clean up the parking area after your horse.( Droppings, hay etc ).
Please take advise on where to park from parking steward.

ENTRIES - must be made to C.E Dressage Group by email text or post to, 103 Shillbank Lane, Mirfield, West Yorkshire, WF14 0QP NOT Middleton Park Equestrian Centre. Any entry sent to Middleton Park WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

CASH ONLY PAYMENT ON THE DAY.

Competitors making multiple entries will be the person responsible for payment.

Entries arriving after the closing date without THE UNDERSTANDING A late entry fee of £3 per test PAYABLE ON THE DAY will be accepted but score sheets will be with held at the end of the class until the late fee is paid.

50% of the overall entry fee will be returned if withdrawing within 7 days accompanied by either a veterinary certificate or a doctors letter.

This has to be understood as - you will only be allowed to have half of the entry fee returned within a week of the competition when proof of either horse / rider not been medically fit to compete.

Withdrawals made without the above vets certificate or doctors letter will not be entitled to have any refund.

ALL WITHDRAWALS ON OR AFTER THE CLOSING DATE / ON THE DAY OF COMPETITION WILL BE REQUIRED TO BE PAID FOR IN FULL BEFORE YOUR ENTRY WILL BE ACCEPTED TO ANOTHER COMPETITION UNLESS THE ABOVE CERTIFICATES CAN BE PRODUCED.

Please do not ask to have your entry fee returned or moved to another competition after the closing date as it will be refused.

The organiser retains the right to refuse entry / membership or to amend schedules if the instances of the programme requires and to cancel any class with insufficient entries. The judges decision is final.

Any objection should be made to the Organiser with a £25 deposit which will be forfeited if the objection is upheld by the Committee. It is recommended that all competitors, spectators or their helpers take out their own personal injury and public liability insurance policy.

JUNIORS - 16 years and under
VETERANS - horses 15 years and over
EX RACERS - horses that have raced in their lives

ALL C.E. DRESSAGE GROUP COMPETITIONS ARE RUN UNDER BRITISH DRESSAGE 2009 RULES INCLUDING THOSE LAID OUT ABOVE.
